As long as you remember, last year TCL showed a tablet with NXTPAPER technology, it does exactly the same this year by showing the renewed NXTPAPER 11 Plus based on a new NXTPAPER 4.0 screen that uses a “nano-matrix lithography” to improve sharpness. Color accuracy is also better, with the new output measuring a single unit on the Delta-E scale (it measures how the human eye perceives color differences, and any value of one or less is said to be imperceptible to the human eye ).
Since its launch in 2021, the goal of NXTPAPER technology has been to create a display that is more comfortable for the eyes, and now, as expected, artificial intelligence is here to help with this. NXTPAPER 11 Plus has a Smart Eye Comfort function powered by AI that adjusts output based on different usage scenarios, and Personalized Eye Comfort Modes allow users to adjust eye comfort settings to their liking. Features like the paper-like matte finish and NXTPAPER’s blue light cleaning technologies go further to make it easier to view the screen for longer periods of time.
The new tablet will support Google’s Circle to Search feature, and the Smart Voice Memo feature will transcribe and summarize recordings. There’s a “Smart Translator” to handle language from voice, text and images, and AI subtitles offer real-time dialogue transcription.
TCL’s NXTPAPER technology is relatively unique in the display industry, providing something almost like E-Ink, but with the speed, resolution and sharpness of a traditional LCD display. Pricing and availability for the NXTPAPER 11 Plus is something we will know soon…
