Garmin introduced the Instinct 3 series at CES: smartwatches with a bright AMOLED or Solar screen. All models have a built-in flashlight. The battery lasts a long time: up to 24 days in smartwatch mode with the AMOLED versions and unlimited with the Solar models.
Both the AMOLED and solar models are available in two sizes – 45 mm and 50 mm – and in various color options such as black, black/Charcoal and in color options such as Neotropic and Neotropic/Twilight.
The larger solar lens of the Instinct 3 Solar now extracts even more energy from the sunlight. Compared to the Instinct 2 Solar, the new 50mm version lasts more than five times as long in GPS mode when charging with solar energy.
The watches offer features such as step counting, heart rate monitoring, advanced sleep monitoring and wrist-based Pulse Ox 2. In addition, the Instinct 3 series offers insight into heart rate variability (HRV). Women can also track their menstrual cycle and pregnancy and receive valuable information about exercise and nutrition.
The Instinct 3 AMOLED models can be ordered on Garmin.com on January 10 and have suggested retail prices from 449.99 euros, while the Solar models start at 399.99 euros.
