The leaders of the governing coalition met on Wednesday afternoon, January 8, at Victoria Palace, where the first meeting of the year began. On the agenda of the discussions were the budget for 2025, the calendar of the presidential elections and the common candidate of the alliance.

Romania’s draft state budget will be presented within the governing coalition by January 27.

The political formations in the governing coalition, PSD-PNL-UDMR and the minorities, decided this on Wednesday evening, January 8, in the first meeting of 2025, PNL informed in a press release.

According to the cited source, by January 27 the budget will have to be presented at the coalition meeting, so that in the first week of February it will be adopted by the Parliament.
