After a high-flying first season, Solo Leveling resumed. The anime adaptation at least, the manhwa remaining on hiatus. A hiatus which continues, even though the recovery seemed imminent. Why such an extension of the break? His editor has spoken out, and the news is not good, but not dramatic either.
Solo Leveling Ragnarok Sequel Delayed Again
The second season of Solo Leveling explodes all records on Crunchyroll internationally, even if French fans must turn to the Mangas channel to discover new episodes. The episodes are broadcast every Tuesday, at 11:15 p.m., since January 7, 2025. The 13 episodes of this season 2 are already planned, with a broadcast which must end with the thirteenth and final episode on April 1. Episodes in VOSTFR which will delight the most impatient, while lovers of the French version will have to be patient.
Crunchyroll has already announced that a version dubbed in French is in preparation, but the official date has not yet been communicated. The adaptation of the webtoon by Chugong and DUBU (Redice Studio) by the studio A-1 Pictures continues to offer dantesque fights and a mature tone, all enhanced by well-crafted animation. But Solo Levelingit is above all a successful manhwa. Unfortunately, its author, Daul, was involved in a car accident recently.
While recovering, the South Korean artist was forced to postpone his return to work, on doctor’s orders. It was D&C Media, its publisher, who announced the news via an official press release: “Following a detailed examination after hospitalization, the doctor concluded that further treatment was necessary, and Solo Leveling: Ragnarok’s hiatus has been extended until January 31. We ask for your understanding, dear readers. We thank you.“
An additional treatment which ultimately only slightly delays the publication of the next chapter, the latter now being scheduled for January 31. Sung Suho, son of Sung Jinwoo, will return shortly, while Daul gets back on track. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
