“I have seven different loan agreements with four different companies in Roosaare, so I can repeatedly attend these hearings,” said a small investor in the courthouse today who arrived at the meeting of creditors of Jaak Roosaare’s two bankrupt companies.
In December, the Harju County Court declared Jaak Roosaare’s companies Venturist Capital SPV1 OÜ and Planet24 OÜ bankrupt. Through both companies, Roosaare mediated loans from small investors to the bankrupt car rental business Planet42.
The creditor who came to the first meeting told Äripöä today outside the courtroom door at Harju County Court that he invested a total of 63,000 euros in the car rental business in Roosaare through four companies. “The loss is great,” he said. “I gave the very first loan a year ago and the last one a few months before the matter went into the bag.”
The investor does not know what to expect from the bankruptcy proceedings. “I do as much as I can. I put together my debt claim and came here for the hearing. I have never been to any court hearings. I came either just to educate myself or to broaden my horizons. There are really no high hopes,” he said.
