End clap for the Meta Quest Pro

If you were planning to get into virtual reality this year and opt for the best possible experience, you won’t have to not rely on the Meta Quest Pro. Launched in 2022 at a price of $1,800, Meta’s premium virtual reality headset should soon no longer be marketed. On the manufacturer’s official website, future buyers are advised to to opt for a Meta Quest 3.

Our colleagues at Upload VR noticed a detail of great importance on the official Meta website and more precisely on the Meta Quest Pro page. From now on, users are advised “buy Meta Quest 3 for the ultimate mixed reality experience and premium comfort”. Sign that the Meta Quest Pro is undoubtedly alive these last few hours. This information is not really surprising since with the announcement and release of the Meta Quest 3S, it was expected that sales of the Quest 2 and Quest Pro would stop at the end of 2024.

In fact, the company confirmed to TechCrunch last September: “With the Quest 3S on the shelves, we are officially stopping sales of the Quest 2 and Pro. We will sell our remaining helmets until the end of the year or until they are sold out, whichever comes first.”

It is therefore the end of premium headphonesreplaced by the Quest 3 as well as the Quest 3S, with a more affordable price. The different virtual reality and mixed reality offers at Meta are therefore:

  • The Meta Quest 3S which was launched in October 2024. The headset comes with the game Batman: Arkham Shadow.
Count on €329.99 for a 128 GB headset.
Count on €439.99 for a 256 GB headset.
  • The Meta Quest 3 which was launched in October 2023
Count on €549.99 for the 128 GB headset
Count on €699.99 for the 512 GB model.
