The Amazon team lost to the elements. There is currently no permission to continue filming the series.
The Fallout series from Amazon was a hit. Six months after its premiere, the production based on the cult game attracted over 100 million viewers, becoming one of the most popular items on Prime Video. A moment ago, fans had reasons to be happy because at the beginning of the year, work on the second season of the series started, but… not everything went according to plan. There are many indications that the series will be delayed.
Work on Fallout suspended due to fires
A devastating wave of wildfires is sweeping through California. At least five people died and over 400,000 people lost access to electricity. A huge number of buildings were destroyed (currently this number is expected to reach 2,000), including prestigious villas of cinema and show business stars. Why am I mentioning this? Because it was this factor that negatively influenced work on the new season of Fallout.
The situation is still very difficult, and fire brigades are operating in many locations. Therefore, the FilmLA agency – which issues permits to shoot films and series in Los Angeles – informed that production work in this area is currently impossible. One of the reasons fires spread so quickly is strong winds, and Santa Clarita, where the Amazon crew is currently operating, is among the windiest areas of the county.
Initial plans assumed that the delay would last until January 10, but given the scale of the threat, a later date must be taken into account. Portal Variety reports that series such as Abbott Elementary and Grey’s Anatomy are currently struggling with the same problems.
