Sony finally starts sales of its previously announced car, now called Afeela1. Pre-sales have started, the company announced known at CES.
The car, with a length of just under five meters, has to compete with expensive models such as Audi A6, Tesla Model S and BMWi5.
The manufacturer assumes a starting price of around 100,000 euros, although cheaper models will be available.
The 91 kW battery is (but) good for 480 kilometers. The maximum charging speed is also low, 150 kW. The choice of colors is also limited: only three flavors.
In addition to digital mirrors, the car will have a wide range of video games and a noise suppression system such as noise-cancelling headphones and special upholstery that neutralizes odors.
The Afeela1 is built in an American Honda factory. The Sony car will only be available on the Japanese and American markets in a year and a half.
