It is directly through the official networks ofAssassin’s Creed that Ubisoft has confirmed the postponement of the game to March 20, 2025. In a long press release, Marc-Alexis Coté, the executive producer of the license Assassin’s Creed at Ubisoft Quebec spoke. He explains that despite lots of progressthere is still lots of things to do to offer players and fans “a high-quality immersive experience”. Thus, the teams made the decision to postpone the title for a few weeks.

Dear players,
We would like to extend a huge thank you to our incredible fans and dedicated teams for their continued support since our announcement in September, to further refine and refine
Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Since November, we’ve been excited to share our progress through gameplay previews, and the overwhelming enthusiasm has truly inspired us. Every week we received valuable feedback from our community. While we’ve already made remarkable progress, we believe a few more weeks are needed to implement this feedback and ensure an even more ambitious and engaging experience from day one.
As a result, the new release date is set for March 20, 2025. We remain committed to providing a high-quality, immersive experience, fostered by ongoing dialogue between our players and our development teams.
We know you’re eager to learn more about Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and we’re excited to announce more updates coming your way very soon!
Marc-Alexis Cote
on behalf of all teams working on Assassin’s Creed Shadows

We hope that these multiple delays will be justified and that the game will be of high quality, without any bugs or optimization concerns. Otherwise, it could be catastrophic for Ubisoft and the license Assassin’s Creed. See you now in a little over two months for the final verdict on this highly anticipated and very controversial Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
