An interesting documentary for those interested in prehistoric beasts arrived at Yle Areena this week.

“150 million years ago in the sea, there was a monster known as Pliosaurus,” says the description of the documentary Sea Monster from the Past (Attenborough and the Jurassic Sea Monster, 2023).

“Sir David Attenborough follows when a Pliosurus fossil is unearthed off the coast of England. At the same time, we will familiarize ourselves with the characteristics of this huge beast and the conditions of the Jurassic period.”

A sea monster from the past can be found in Areena until 30 November 2025, and you can watch it on Yle TV1 on Saturday 11 January.
