Range Rover Evoque – The smallest model in the range surprises with its practicality and features

Range Rover is a brand that has expanded quite a bit over the years, now offering models in multiple classes that cater to a larger audience. The Evoque is the smallest model in the British manufacturer’s range, but it retains all the features that define the Range Rover.

Launched in 2012, the first-generation Evoque brought the British brand to the attention of a new kind of audience, one more concerned with design and cars with more compact proportions, which they can also use in the city. The Evoque adapts very well to the demands of premium customers looking for these values.

The example we were able to film is a Range Rover Evoque in Dynamic equipment, equipped with the 2.0-liter, 200 HP/320 Nm engine, which also has all-wheel drive, for the moments when this urban SUV reaches situations where the asphalt disappear.

The powertrain package is completed by the 9-speed automatic transmission, which can keep the petrol engine in the optimal range of power and torque regardless of the situation and creates a more comfortable experience for the driver.

The Range Rover Evoque is aimed at a younger audience

Given its compact dimensions, the Range Rover Evoque brings the brand to the attention of younger people who are looking for a product with premium features, but want these features in a more manageable package. At 4.37 meters long, the Evoque is easy to maneuver around town, being marginally longer than a compact hatchback, but interior space remains generous for a car in this class.

Up to five passengers can travel on board the Evoque, and the trunk has a minimum volume of 472 liters, which can be increased by folding the rear seats. This is split 40-20-40, so you can only fold down the center segment to carry longer items.

The interior of our model was upholstered in two-tone leather, but this traditional material is accompanied by the latest generation of Range Rover technologies. For example, the driver has at his disposal a fully digital dashboard, but also a central screen that offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless connectivity, so you won’t have to worry about cables.

Range Rover Evoque starts in Romania from 49,682 euros, including VAT. An example like the one we filmed has a list price of 70,000 euros.
