Apple News app may finally expand to more countries

Apple’s News app is becoming more widely available. Since 2019, the app can be used exclusively in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.

The app cannot be downloaded outside these countries, unless one of the countries mentioned is set as a preference.

More than five years later, according to the Financial Times finally planning to expand to other countries, although it is not known which countries they are.

Apple makes money from the app through a combination of display ads and the News+ premium subscription.

Apple currently has about 100 editors in New York, London, Sydney and California.
