A free chatbot app, Grok, powered by artificial intelligence from Elon Musk’s xAI startup, has appeared on iOS. The service is currently being tested in several countries, including the USA, Australia and India. reported TechCrunch.

The AI assistant will also appear in the web version – xAI is developing a website for this grok.com. Now it is a landing page with the inscription coming soon, hinting at the development of the service.
Grok’s description in the App Store says that the application allows you to generate images, receive various information in real time and conduct a conversation with artificial intelligence.

In early December 2024, Grok became available without a premium subscription. Free users can send up to 10 requests every two hours. The cost of a paid subscription starts at approximately $8.8 per month.
The assistant was created by Musk’s AI startup xAI, which the businessman founded in July 2023. The company’s employees include people from DeepMind, Google Research, Microsoft Research, Twitter (renamed X) and Tesla.
