Distribution of medical supplies and medical supplies by Coast Guard in Shariatpur

Bangladesh Coast Guard has provided free medical services and distributed essential medicines in Vedarganj Upazila of Shariatpur.

Coast Guard headquarters media officer Lieutenant Commander Md. Siam-ul-Haq informed this information.

He said that since its inception, the Coast Guard has come forward for the various needs of the underprivileged people of the coastal/char area. Bangladesh Coast Guard has been providing free medical services to poor and low-income people through medical campaigns. In continuation of this, on Thursday from 10 am to 2 pm BCG Station Pagla under Coast Guard Dhaka Zone conducted a medical campaign in Vedarganj area under Sakhipur Police Station of Shariatpur District. A total of 670 helpless, poor, distressed and children were provided free medical care and essential medicines.

The medical campaign was led by surgeon Lt. Commander Ahmed Rifat Tahmid and surgeon Lt. Jannatul Ferdous.
