Lindex for clean water

From August 24, customers shopping at Lindex stores will be able to round up their purchase to benefit WaterAid. The money raised in this way will finance the important activities of the WaterAid organization, which strives for better access to safe water and better hygiene in the poorest parts of the world.

*“Water and everything related to it is very important to Lindex and is part of its long-term work in the field of sustainability. We raise money together with our customers to support the very important work of WaterAid,*’ he says Sara Winroth, Manufacturing Sustainability Manager in society
Lindex.

Access to clean water and sanitation is a human right. Despite this, the availability of safe water does not get more than
650 million peopleanother 2.4 billion do not have access to proper sanitation. It dies roughly every year
290,000 children on diseases caused by unhealthy water and unsatisfactory hygiene. That means almost 800 every day.

“We are very pleased and grateful to Lindex for their commitment to supporting WaterAid. It’s great that Lindex customers can now contribute and play a part in making safe water available to more people in an easy way. Every amount donated will save and change the lives of the poorest people in the world, who today have to do without what we take for granted as healthy water,” he says Cecilia Chatterjee-Martinsen, CEO Swedish branch of the organization WaterAid.

The campaign starts August 24 and will last until August 30. Take a look at the campaign video here
