A new vice-governor has appeared in St. Petersburg

The corresponding appointment was approved by Beglov.

The head of the Petrogradsky district of St. Petersburg, Vladimir Omelnitsky, received the post of vice-governor of the city. The corresponding decree was signed by the governor of the Northern capital, Alexander Beglov.

The official will begin performing his duties in the new place on January 14. Among the areas of Omelnitsky’s work is supervision of the activities of government committees: the Committee on State Control, Use and Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments, the Committee on Property Relations and the Office for the Development of Horticulture and Vegetable Farming.

Earlier, the head of the Admiralteysky district administration, Sergei Overchuk, resigned. It turned out that the ex-official received a bribe in the amount of 8 million rubles. The Leninsky District Court prohibited him from performing certain actions. The man admitted his guilt.
