Zotac has presented its Geforce RTX 5000 variants which is released under the brands Solid and AMP Extreme Infinity. The board uses 12VHPWR power connectors, which previously had problems with misconnection. To prevent this, Zotac has equipped the cards with a safety light that prevents the cards from starting if the connector is not properly connected.
Although the 12VHPWR issues have been reduced with the new 12V-2×6 cables, the safety light is a welcome feature for added safety.
According to Videocardz the OC variants of the RTX 5080 have very similar clock frequencies, with the AMP version reaching 2,670 MHz and Solid’s OC versions clocking in at 2,640 MHz. All RTX 5080 models have a TDP value of 360 W.
Zotac is launching RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 models under both the AMP Extreme Infinity and Solid brands. However, the RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti will be released only under Solid. OC variants of all models are available at launch.
