Make suburbia sexy again. That’s how briefly the winning proposal for a new plan for the development of the capital area can be written. Even if it consists of five main themes with a minor storm of ideas in each.
In light of climate change, it is also high time to rediscover a model for planning. In the 75th anniversary of the original Finger Plan, the Norwegian Architects’ Association therefore issued an idea competition with the title Finger Plan 2.0. Art studio Vandkunsten won with the proposal ‘A decentralized organism is growing’.
