OSKA Autumn/Winter 2025

THE UNUSUAL BEAUTY OF ORDINARY THINGS

“She was always, you know, all the way on point. She was always full of enthusiasm for everything,” says a former employee of the Eames Office about Ray Eames. She designed world-famous furniture, made films, built houses and, together with her husband Charles Eames, is one of the most important creatives of the 20th century. “Good design can improve life” was the belief of the dynamic couple. The power of play, which stimulates creativity and imagination, was an indispensable tool in their design process. Designing masks, toys and kites was therefore a natural extension of their work. They were fascinated by the way play allows us to explore new ideas, without the pressure to do it “right”. With this lightness and curiosity, the OSKA autumn/winter collection embarks on a creative journey.

The belief that design can improve lives remains relevant today. A changing lifestyle has created new needs and clothing adapts to the moment. We want to spend more time outside – from a walk in the park to cycling to work. More than ever, versatility, comfort and functionality have become design elements: Expert layering with versatile styles for a seamless transition between everyday life and events, naturally sustainable materials and technical fabrics for jackets and parkas that protect us from the elements.

Outer coats and jackets define the silhouette and set the mood: The reinterpretation of the trench coat made of brushed cotton twill, the sporty parka with hood made of water-repellent nylon or the lined, softly enveloping coat with subtle glen check pattern made of pure wool. Unique materials and innovative, timeless cuts allow clothing to be reborn in everyday life. The layered look remains current and invites you to play creatively with proportions and textures. Technically smooth jerseys are minimalist highlights and practical all-rounders. Exciting contrasts are created in combination with cozy coarse knitted clothing made from natural materials such as alpaca, merino wool or cotton bouclé. The silhouette can be individually adjusted, there is no right or wrong, only new. Whether flowing, enveloping and soft or rather slim, clear and puristic – creativity must be experienced, fashion playfully adapts to needs and moods. The suit is experiencing a revival and is finding its way into all aspects of life: Made of jacquard jersey it is comfortable, washed cotton with herringbone pattern makes the business look casual, the combination of skirt and blouse made of recycled taffeta with dot print gives elegance and lightness. Blouses are becoming increasingly important and form the connecting element in the look. The must have Dresses are and remain part of the modern, uncomplicated wardrobe. There are no limits to the creativity and diversity of materials here: from baby cord, subtle mini checks made of brushed cotton to elegant viscose with a picturesque print and jacquard jersey. Quality and character characterize the materials we have been using for many years. The wool loden fabric in all its diversity and uniqueness becomes particularly important this season and underlines the love for craftsmanship that makes the OSKA look so unique.

The color palette of the new season reflects Ray Eames’ zest for life, her urge to experiment and playful curiosity. Colorful highlights such as clematis blue, cheerful orange and fresh sky blue are inspired by masks, kites and toys. Softly shades of green and blue envelop brighter colors and create a balance between tranquility and diversity. The warm, autumnal red tones radiate a pleasant sense of security. Discreet natural white softens black and enables exciting combinations with soft rosé and bottle green. A true Eames classic.
