CES 2025
Amazfit is presenting the watch called “Active 2” at CES 2025, which aims to score points as an affordable entry-level watch for athletes. However, a euro price is not mentioned.
Smartwatch specialist Amazfit is using the current CES 2025 to present a new sports watch that wants to impress with its affordable price and yet all the functions relevant to athletes. The smartwatch called Active 2 is launching in the USA for $100; a separate version with sapphire crystal and leather strap costs $30 more. A euro price has not yet been determined, the release is scheduled for February.
On the display Amazfit Active 2 The manufacturer uses a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. The maximum brightness should be up to 2,000 cd/m². However, exact information about the size of the watch is not included in the announcement. With a battery capacity of 270 mAh, the watch should last up to ten days in smartwatch mode; with GPS active, this value drops to around 21 hours, according to the manufacturer. In addition to GPS, Bluetooth and NFC are also on board, but Wi-Fi connections are not supported.
When it comes to sensors, Amazfit uses the classic measurements for heart rate and blood oxygen (SpO2) for the Active 2. The skin temperature can also be determined. There is also a barometric altimeter and an acceleration sensor in the smartwatch. When it comes to sports features, the manufacturer lists “more than 164 activities” on the official product website, which include common functions such as pedometers and sleep analysis.
