The above parameter is available both with a slim profile model with a numeric pad and with an 80 percent normal profile construction.
Cherry presented several peripherals under its Xtrfy sub-brand at CES, including the MX 10.1 Wirelessas well as mechanical keyboards called MX 8.3 TKL Wireless. The common feature of the wireless pair is that they are capable of USB sampling at 4000 Hz via 2.4 GHz radio, and 8000 Hz when connected via cable, plus the 5.2 Bluetooth unit is not missing from their arsenal. Regarding allocation, US ANSI, Chinese, DE ISO, UK ISO, FR ISO, PN (PanNordic) ISO are among the alternatives.
The former beast is a full-size, low-profile solution, which has a floating button design and a black or silver aluminum body, and in the upper right corner a tiny LCD display is enthroned next to a dial. The keyboard’s linear Cherry MX LP 2.0 Red or Speed switches are covered with PBT caps that do not transmit the light of RGB lighting, which are characterized by heat transfer (currently reverse dye-sub) technology. The type that uses an integrated plate and comes with 256 kB on-board memory implements 128-bit AES encryption on keystrokes and its tilt angle can be adjusted, but the two lithium-ion batteries cannot be replaced according to the specifications.
On the tiny screen, you can track your settings, your typing speed (APM) or just the battery level, while you can use the rotary switch to access the media controls, switch between computers paired to the device, or fiddle with the colorful flashing of the LEDs. When determining the price, the manufacturer was not shy, because he charged a sum of 280 euros for the box of the product, for which we can buy very serious devices even with a hobbyist’s eye.
The MX 8.3 TKL Wireless already blessed with a normal profile, gasket-mounted switches, and we can request factory-slightly lubricated, linear Cherry MX2A Red or weakly tactile Cherry MX2A Brown switches for the quick-change sockets.
As a result of the floating button design, the metal plate is also integrated this time. on the other hand, the PBT caps already allow the variable RGB lights to pass through, and the miniature LCD display seen on the slimmer brand partner, as well as the – in this case, unusually shaped – dial can also be unchecked. The price tag is 300 euros, which we consider to be highly excessive based on all existing metrics.
