One person died in an accident with a truck on the Narva highway in the Leningrad region. The fatal accident occurred in the oncoming lane.
The incident was recorded at 11:05 on Saturday, January 11, at the 91st km of the highway in the Volosovsky district, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region reported. A 39-year-old woman driving a Chevrolet lost control on the right curve of the road, causing her car to drift into oncoming traffic. There, a car crashed into a semi-trailer truck carrying crushed stone.
As a result of the collision, the female driver received fatal injuries. All circumstances of the accident will be established as part of the police investigation.
Another car was involved in an accident in the Lodeynopolsky district of the Leningrad region. Near the village of Zaostrovye, the driver of a Ford car lost control and drove into a ditch, the press service of the emergency rescue service of the Leningrad region reported. The driver was able to get out of the car himself; his two passengers needed help from rescuers.
