INITIUM represents Hyundai’s vision for a next-generation hydrogen FCEV, building on the legacy of the ix35 Fuel Cell (2013) and NEXO (2018). Combining advanced hydrogen technology with an estimated range of over 650km and smooth 150kW engine output, the INITIUM delivers strong performance and sustainability. The ‘Art of Steel’ design language combines rugged elegance with practicality, while V2L capability turns it into a portable power bank. INITIUM is a preview of the new FCEV model that will be launched in the first half of 2025.
Hyundai’s hydrogen strategy
INITIUM is just one piece of Hyundai’s hydrogen puzzle. Hyundai sees hydrogen as a flexible, clean energy source of paramount importance to achieving a clean future. As a global leader in the hydrogen ecosystem through the HTWO brand, Hyundai is driving the energy transition with strategic goals such as achieving carbon neutrality by 2045, pioneering innovative hydrogen production methods, and integrating mobility and energy through the HTWO network.
The gates of the 101st Brussels Motor Show will close on January 19, 2025.
