Space for all-Italian innovation at CES in Las Vegas: 46 startups from all over the peninsula are presenting their technological solutions to the world, from those designed to improve production activities to those dedicated to smart mobility and improving people’s lives.
In the Italian pavilion, located in Eureka Parkthe exhibition area dedicated to startups, are also there several startups active in the world of MedTech. Their innovations aim to help doctors in the anamnesis and diagnostic phase, but also facilitate patient rehabilitation and improve treatment delivery.

Advanced healthcare solutions are going through a important growth phase thanks to technological innovation and increased investments: in the first six months of 2024, a total of 166 million euros were raised, two thirds of which were invested in startups in the Biotech/Pharma and MedTech sector. The PetTech sector is also developing and has raised over 46 million euros in the last 10 years.

Strengthened by these technological boosts, the Italian startups present at CES 2025 have developed latest generation solutions for the support of chronic patients, for the post-rehabilitation phases and for the definition of therapy, as well as AI tools for veterinary medicine.
Italian MedTech innovation at CES: the startups present
At the Italian Pavilion we find Icarusa startup from Cagliari that has developed a AI-based medical virtual assistant that supports patients during post-operative rehabilitation.
The system supports patients by helping them follow the medical guidelines defined specifically for them, optimizing clinical results. The platform uses artificial intelligence to apply medical knowledge to problems related to specific pathologiestaking into account the needs of the individual. Thanks to its ease of use and continuous availability, the solution offers constant medical support, even for those less accustomed to technology.
Icarus
Also present Timean AI tool for veterinary medicine developed by Aitem Solutions which offers ssupport in the anamnesis and diagnosis phases to facilitate clinical evaluation.
The solution delivers real-time support for veterinary doctors in all phases of analysis and treatment, advising on the most suitable treatment paths and helping professionals to formulate and evaluate different diagnoses. By analyzing clinical data, LAIKA allows doctors to focus on definition of treatments and make more careful and informed decisions.
Laika’s goal is to become an always available “colleague” who does not replace the clinical judgment of experts, but facilitates it and creates less stressful and more efficient working environments.
AITEM
It comes from Taranto instead MIA (Mirror Interactive Assistant), a device developed by Asymmetrica for visual health monitoring. The solution is capable of detect vital signs and emotional states to provide advice and remindersand also takes care of sending feedback to the relevant medical staff.
On the one hand, patients can count onhealth care always active24/7; on the other hand, healthcare professionals are notified in real time of the user’s health conditions and of any anomalies, so as to act promptly if necessary.
Finally we find Radoffa Sardinian startup that develops solutions to reduce indoor pollution. Among the company’s offerings, the Radoff Life solution stands out, an innovation that monitors radon gas levels in the environment and automatically starts a remediation action when they reach critical values.
The device can be installed in any closed environment to purify the air when needed. Radoff Life it not only deals with reducing the level of radon, but also of fine particles (PM1, PM2.5 and PM10), carbon dioxide and volatile organic compounds.
