Introducing the Lenovo Legion Go S, a new portable game console complete with both SteamOS and Windows.

Lenovo launches Legion Go S, the newest portable gaming console that comes with the SteamOS operating system direct from the factory. This is the first time SteamOS has been installed on a system not developed by Valve. It’s designed to be a more accessible alternative to Legion Go, which launched in 2023, and will also include Windows support. 11 Home to choose from as well.

Interior design and specs

Legion Go S stands out with its simple design. The unit is made of lightweight plastic and does not have a removable joystick. There is a choice of processor between AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme and the newly developed Ryzen Z2 Go with Lenovo.

  • Ryzen Z2 Go: 4-core Zen 3 (8 threads) up to 4.3 GHz with 12-core RDNA 2 GPU, 10MB cache, and 15-30W TDP.
  • Memory and storage:
    • Entry model: 16GB LPDDR5X 6400MHz RAM, 512GB SSD
    • Top model: up to 32GB RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD
  • ColdFront Cooling System: Large fan and heatsink help maintain long-term performance.

Display and control buttons

  • 8-inch touchscreen: 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution (WUXGA), 120Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 500 nits of peak brightness
  • A total of 23 control buttons, including a Hall Effect joystick with RGB lighting.

Legion Go S weighs 740 grams with a 55.5 Whr battery that supports 65W fast charging, with an adapter included in the box.

Legion Go S is available in two colors: Glacier White and Nebula Violet.

    • Price 500 US dollars (approximately 17,400 baht)
    • RAM 16GB / SSD 512GB
    • Released in May.
  • Windows 11 version (RAM 32GB / SSD 1TB):
    • Price 730 US dollars (approximately 25,400 baht)
    • Available later this month in some countries.
