At CES 2025, LG revived the concept of a flexible monitor that should go on sale. The 45GX990A is the world’s first of its kind and has won several awards at the fair.
The flexible gaming monitor entices with premium specifications such as 5K2K resolution, a 45-inch OLED display and, above all, automatic curvature adjustment. The motors can automatically straighten and curve the entire display up to 900R. A 0.03 ms response will also help a decent gaming experience. The monitor took home a total of three awards from the CES 2025 Innovation Awards, including the prize for the best innovation of the fair.
The 45GX990A is part of the new GX9 series, which also includes two other monitors, namely the 45GX950A, a curved 5K2K 45-inch monitor with features that practically copy the aforementioned foldable brother. The last piece is the 39GX90SA with 800R curvature and webOS support, which we find in LG televisions.
