Here, the person leaning on the railings fell into the Golden Horn as a result of the railing breaking. Those who saw the person struggling in the sea warned the people on the boat and directed them towards that point.
HE FALLED INTO THE SEA WHEN THE RAILWAY BROKEN
As a result of long efforts, the person who fell into the sea was rescued by throwing a life buoy. The person taken to the boat was taken to the hospital by ambulance after first aid was given by medical teams. It was learned that the person who was rescued and treated with the help of the people around him was in good health. The police launched an investigation into the incident. Mehmet Yontürk, who has a business on the Galata Bridge, said, “A citizen was passing by and leaned on the iron. He fell into the sea with the iron. I think the iron was a little rotten. After that, a friend of ours stretched the cover. Shopkeepers came and handed us ropes and ladders. He struggled in the sea for fifteen minutes. Then “A boat came here by chance. At that moment, they called the police. They also came. The civilian boat pulled him out of the water. He was in good condition. He had a slightly sprained leg.” he said.
Stating that such incidents have happened before, Yontürk said, “A citizen fell here in the summer months. I think the irons are rotten.”
