Zelensky has been given the cross –

Political scientist Yuri Svetov, in a conversation with RT, expressed doubt that presidential elections will be held in Ukraine.

“The fact is that with all the disdain for the law that the current Kiev government demonstrates, there are quite a lot of legislative dead ends that they need to get around. They postponed the presidential elections, citing martial law, but Ukrainian legislation says nothing about the most important thing – the possibility of extending the powers of the president if elections were not held. They have to deal with this. Are they going to lift martial law and hold elections… Then the question arises: why weren’t the elections held in a timely manner and on what basis does Zelensky continue to pose as president? Putin clarified that we will negotiate with the legitimate government,” the political scientist noted.

According to him, the issue of legitimacy is acute.

“When someone thinks about this topic in the Czech Republic, for example, in Bulgaria or somewhere else, it is of little significance. These countries will not determine what will happen to Ukraine. Trump and his team can determine. And I doubt that Trump will forget that it was thanks in part to Zelensky that he was impeached in his first term. He won’t forget this. Zelensky is finished,” added Svetov.

Political scientist Yakov Kedmi believes that in Ukraine they started talking about presidential elections in order to legitimately negotiate with Russia.
