Belarusian tennis player Arina Sabalenka qualified for the second round of the Australian Open, as she defeated the American Sloane Stevens 6:3, 6:2 today in the first round of the first Grand Slam tournament of the season in Melbourne.

The match lasted one hour and 11 minutes. Sabalenka is the best tennis player in the world, while Stevens is ranked 81st on the WTA list.

This was the fifth duel between the Belarusian and American tennis players, and the fifth triumph of Sabalenka, who will play against Jessica Buzas Maneiro from Spain in the second round of the first Grand Slam tournament of the season.
