HP introduced OMEN gaming monitors with IPS Black panels at CES 2025

HP presented the new Omen gaming monitors at CES, which will offer IPS Black panels, a refresh rate of up to 280 Hz and Google TV functionality.

At CES, HP showed three new OMEN series gaming monitors, the Omen 27qs G2, Omen 34c G2 and Omen 32x models. The monitors offer high refresh rates, modern functions and IPS Black display technology. This doubles the contrast ratio from 1000:1 to 2000:1, which brings more expressive colors and deeper blacks.

HP Omen 27qs G2

The Omen 27qs G2 model continues the success of its predecessor. The novelty is the use of the already mentioned IPS Black technology. The display with a refresh rate of 280 Hz and a response time of 1 ms supports both AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync. The monitor has a minimalist design, thin frames and integrated high-quality speakers.

The Omen 34c G2 has a curved display. It offers a 34-inch VA panel with a 3440 x 1440 resolution and a 180 Hz refresh rate. As with the Omen 27qs G2, IPS Black technology is used.
The biggest innovation is the Omen 32x, the first HP gaming monitor with integrated Google TV. It offers 4K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and a 31.5-inch IPS panel. The monitor has HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB-C and supports FreeSync Premium and G-Sync. We do not yet know the availability or prices of the new monitors.
