The trial will be held at Keraniganj temporary court

The trial of the case filed against those involved in the Pilkhana massacre will be held in the temporary court building adjacent to the Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj instead of the temporary court building located in the ground adjacent to the Government Aliya Madrasa and Dhaka Central Jail in Bakshi Bazar, Dhaka.

An order in this regard was issued by the Law and Justice Department on Sunday and published in the Gazette.

The order signed by the Secretary of Law and Justice Sheikh Abu Taher said, ‘The BDR murder committed in the BDR headquarters at Pilkhana, Dhaka under the powers given in sub-section (2) of section 9 of the Government Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Act No. V of 1898) Case No-09 of New Market Police Station of Dhaka Metropolitan Area, dated: 06-04-2009 AD. (Case No. 65 of Lalbagh Police Station, Dated: 28-02-2009 AD), Section-3/4/6 of the Explosive Substances Act, 1908 (Act No. VI of 1908) (Charge No. 127(1), Dated : 12-07-2010 A.D.), G, R No- 110/09, Metropolitan Special Tribunal Judge Court, Metro Special of Dhaka In order to conduct the proceedings of the Tribunal Case No-777/2010 dated 28 December 2010 under S, R, and No-403-Act/2010, the temporary court building situated in the ground adjacent to the Government Aliya Madrasa and Dhaka Central Jail in Bakshi Bazar area of ​​Dhaka Metropolis. The temporary court building adjacent to the Dhaka Central Jail situated at Keraniganj in the district was declared a temporary court and hereby directed to this effect. Provided that the trial of the said case shall be held in the temporary court building adjacent to the Dhaka Central Jail located in Keraniganj, Dhaka District.
