(Seoul = Newsis) Reporter Cho Hyun-ah = The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation announced on the 13th that they will recruit approximately 4,400 participants for this year’s ‘4050 Job Training’ and ‘Digital Job Competency Enhancement’ programs to support employment for middle-aged people aged 40 to 64. .

4050 Vocational Training is a program that provides practical job training in cooperation with companies that have a demand for hiring middle-aged people. This year, we added a ‘job experience program’ to help middle-aged people develop their aptitude and capabilities by directly experiencing jobs in the field.

Depending on the nature of the job, a total of 15 to 150 hours of education and training is provided, and support is provided to lead to actual employment. After training, packaged services such as employment consulting and job connection are provided.
The job experience program is divided into a ‘company-linked practical training type’ that allows you to directly experience a specific job at a company site, and a ‘technical education center-linked type’ that supports technical education for job change.

Starting today, 4050 vocational training will sequentially recruit a total of 1,320 people, starting with 14 courses including ‘Pharmacy Clerk,’ ‘Smartphone Utilization Instructor,’ and ‘Elevator Maintenance Personnel.’ If you are finally selected through documents and interviews, you will receive education and training at five campuses in each region.

The plan is to provide opportunities to enter new industrial fields by adding 16 new courses, including quality inspectors, industrial safety managers, and aviation security screeners.

The digital job competency enhancement program provides hands-on training at each level in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI), big data, digital marketing, and smart work.

Starting from this day, we plan to sequentially recruit 3,070 students for 127 courses per year, starting with the recruitment of 755 students for 30 courses. Each course will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at five campuses in each region and will be conducted online or at the respective campuses.

Applications for January recruitment can be made through the 50+ portal (50plus.or.kr) starting today. You can also check detailed information such as annual operation plan and tuition for each course on the 50+ portal.

Lee Seong-soo, head of the business operation division of the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation, said, “We will support employment stability and career transition through five campuses in each region, and create greater synergy through cooperation with companies.”
