The development of such a dangerous disease as intestinal cancer can be recognized by certain symptoms. Representatives of the Cancer Research UK charity foundation spoke about one of them, British media write.
According to them, “black” stools can indicate oncology. Blood from the upper intestines doesn’t look bright red—it turns dark red or black, which can make stool look like tar, experts say. This type of bleeding may be a sign of cancer higher up in the intestine.
Fresh blood in the stool, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, shortness of breath, pain in the abdomen or anus, or tension in the anus may also be cause for concern. If you have these symptoms, you should immediately go to the hospital, doctors advise.
