Khaleda Zia can walk, does not need a wheelchair

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is undergoing treatment at the London Clinic in the UK for five days. His physical condition has further improved. The three-time former prime minister can walk without a wheelchair.

Khaleda Zia’s personal physician and member of BNP’s standing committee and vice chairman A ZM Zahid Hossain gave this information to the country’s media from London.

He said, ‘Khaleda Zia’s physical examination reports have started coming. After receiving all the reports, the doctors will decide on further treatment based on them. But his physical and mental condition is quite good.’

Zahid Hossain also said that Professor John Patrick Kennedy visited Begum Zia on Sunday. He is undergoing treatment in London clinic under this expert doctor.

Meanwhile, BNP advisory board member Dr. Mohammad Enamul Haque Chowdhury said that Khaleda Zia’s routine health check is going on every day. Although his physical condition is stable, he is walking without a wheelchair in the hospital.

79-year-old Khaleda Zia was suffering from various complications including liver cirrhosis, kidney problems, heart disease for a long time. But he was not allowed to go abroad. Finally, after the fall of the Awami League government, he went to London for better treatment last Wednesday.
