NordVPN intends to attract new customers with its special winter sales offer. The most popular VPN drastically reduces the monthly price of three subscription plans, with, as a bonus, one month free for any subscription.
In the VPN market, the most popular remains NordVPN. This service launched in 2012, and very (very) present on the YouTube videos of certain content creators, never misses an opportunity to try to convince new users, in particular by launching attractive offers allowing them to take advantage of its services at lower cost. A very reliable VPN
NordVPN is a VPN whose quality of services is evident. Easy to use interface, solid privacy policy (NordVPN does not keep track of the sites you visit), effective after-sales service (and in French!)… And even if the company suffered a massive hack in 2018, it knew how to bounce back by launching, in 2020, its own protocol for connecting to its servers, called NordLynx, which has considerably improved the performance of the service.
Also note that NordVPN is located in Panama: it therefore escapes the surveillance of the 14 Eyes alliance. The company also has more than 6,400 servers located in more than 100 countries, providing extensive global coverage. This is certainly less than Cyberghost or other VPN providers, but that absolutely does not mean that it is less efficient. Please note, however, that it is impossible to connect to servers located in authoritarian areas, such as China, Iran or even Russia. For the servers to which you will actually have access, the connection will be stable and secure, the bandwidth unlimited and the ping responsive, thanks to the brand’s OpenVPN and NordLynx protocols.
Reassuring advanced features
NordVPN is accessible on a host of platforms: PC, smartphone, tablet, Smart TV… With your account, you can protect up to six different devices. The application is also compatible with a large number of operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, iOS, macOS, Android and Fire TV.
Finally, be aware that while the basic subscription may suit the majority of users, the Advanced and Ultimate subscription plans are much more interesting due to the advanced features they provide. The Advanced plan allows you to take advantage of NordPass, a password manager and generator launched at the end of 2019: it brings together all your passwords by automatically integrating them into the sites you use. NordPass is also capable of storing sensitive documents and supports passkeys, or security keys. As for Ultime subscribers, they have access to NordLocker, a secure cloud service as well as Cyber risk insurance, allowing them to be protected against online scams.
