At the event held in the city of Baile Tusnad in Romania, where a large Hungarian population lives, Orban made assessments on the Russia-Ukraine War, the upcoming US elections and the Olympics.
Orban said that nation-states have a basis based on the Bible, and added, “Nation-states are a part of the order of creation. Because we read in the holy book that when the apocalypse comes, not only individuals but also nations will be judged.”
Orban stated that the Western world no longer believes in the nation state, saying, “Westerns believe that the nation state no longer exists. They reject the existence of a common culture and social morality based on it. If you watched the Olympic opening, you would see that there is no morality.”
Stating that the West thinks differently about immigration, Orban said that the world is changing and said, “In the old days, everything used to change in the Western style, but that is not the case now and we need to face it.”
Orban claimed that the Western-centered world system, which has existed for nearly 500 years, has lost its influence and will be replaced by an Asia-centered world.
Making evaluations regarding the Russia-Ukraine War, Orban claimed that Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese and American officials met with each other under the influence of the talks he held to end the war.
“We are moving towards a peaceful Europe,” Orban said, adding that Europe should take the necessary steps for peace.
Orban said, “Ukrainians have done their part, now Europeans need to come to their senses before it’s too late. (Former US President Donald) Trump is at the door. If Europe does not return to a peaceful policy, it will be forced to do so after Trump’s victory, accept defeat and shamefully take political responsibility alone.”
