Zorarganj Thana police recovered the body of a 75-year-old unidentified woman in Mirsarai. His body was recovered from the side of Febo petrol pump on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Sonapahar area under Zorarganj police station of the upazila on Monday (January 13).
Witnesses said the woman was seen lying on the side of the highway. None of the locals know him. Later, when the police was informed, they came and rescued him.
Zorarganj police station officer-in-charge ATM Shifatul Mazdar said that a police team went to the spot after receiving information that an unidentified woman was lying on the side of the highway. Later he was rescued from there and taken to Upazila Health Complex where the doctor in charge declared him dead. The woman is believed to be mentally unstable.
