Suburban: A train pantograph was thrown onto the platform of the station at the airport “El. Venizelos”

An unprecedented incident on the Suburban on Monday, January 13, as, as reported by the Panhellenic Union of Traction Personnel, the train pantograph was thrown onto the platform of the station at the airport “El. Venizelos”.

“By pure luck we did not mourn victims today at the airport station as the pantograph train was literally thrown onto the platform in front of the terrified passengers” says the Panhellenic Union of Traction Personnel in a post on social media.

“It was sheer luck that we had no casualties today at the airport station as the pantograph train was literally thrown onto the platform in front of horrified passengers.

While this is happening, Hellenic Train Management is taking our strikes to court and its management (recently advertised in the online press) is only dealing with rusfetological positions. Our congratulations, therefore, the Greek society sees where they are leading the Greek railway”.
