Three amputated legs were stolen from the anatomical waste storage of the Cantacazino hospital in Bucharest, writes the Romanian G4Media based on his report a Transtelex.
The Bucharest police said that according to the investigation data so far, the unknown culprit climbed over the hospital fence at around 7 p.m. on January 10 and entered the hospital’s annex where medical waste was stored, where he burned the body parts from a cooler.
The local press understands that the hospital notified the authorities about the crime on Monday evening. While leaving, the thief left one of the amputated legs, which was later found by the hospital staff in a nearby street.
The prosecutor’s office of the second district of Bucharest initiated proceedings in this case on suspicion of qualified theft.
