Daihatsu Retail Sales Reach 168 Thousand Units in 2024

DAPURPACUID – Daihatsu closed 2024 with retail sales of 168,263 units, where this number experienced a decrease compared to the previous year.

Still relying on its three flagship models, Daihatsu sales experienced a correction of up to 25,845 units from the previous year which reached 194,108 units.

However, with this number, Daihatsu is still in second place on the best-selling automotive sales ladder in Indonesia throughout 2024.

Marketing & Customer Relations Division Head PT Astra International Tbk. Daihatsu Sales Operation, Tri Mulyono appreciates customers’ trust in Daihatsu.

“This achievement reflects our commitment to always try to present various special offer programs to provide vehicles according to the needs, especially for first-time car buyers,” he said in an official broadcast.

For your information, the national automotive market was indeed under pressure last year. Almost all manufacturers experienced an unpleasant record in terms of unit sales throughout 2024.

This condition is also experienced by Daihatsu, even though throughout last year it routinely rolled out various attractive sales programs to make it easier for people to make purchases.

During 2024, Daihatsu sales will be supported by three models, starting with the Sigra which is the main contributor to sales with an achievement of 54,366 thousand units, or contributing 32%.

Next, followed by the Daihatsu Gran Max Pick Up commercial car with 41,703 units or 25%, and the Terios with 19,873 units or around 12% of total sales.

Followed by Daihatsu Ayla in fourth position with sales of 18,588 units, which contributed around 11%, then Gran Max Mini Bus with 15,040 units (9%), Xenia 11,014 units (7%).

The next position is occupied by Rocky, Luxio, and Sirion which contributed sales figures of more than 7 thousand units, or contributed around 4%.

“Hopefully the automotive market in Indonesia in 2025 can grow, and Daihatsu can contribute positively to the national automotive industry,” concluded Tri. (dpid/TH)
