Wreck prices in 2025, depending on the type of vehicle you drive. What changes have come into effect since January?
As we well know, the road tax is mandatory for any vehicle transporting people or goods that uses the roads in Romania, and its value varies depending on the type of vehicle we drive. In the following we will show what are the updated prices for scrap metal in 2025.
Starting from January 1, 2025, the Ministry of Transport introduced the one-day roving. Until now, the shortest duration for which the scrap can be purchased was one week, with validities of 30 days, 90 days and 12 months.
How much does the scrap cost in 2025? Rates and periods of use for each category
For cars, category Athe rovinieta can be bought for the following periods: one day, 10 days, 30 days, 60 days and 12 months. Depending on the chosen duration, the prices are as follows: 2.5 euros, 3.3 euros, 5.3 euros, 8.4 euros and 28 euros, respectively.
Category Brepresented by goods transport vehicles with a maximum authorized transport mass (MTMA) less than or equal to 3.5 tons have the same periods in which the road tax can be concluded, but the rates are as follows: one day – 8.6 euros , 10 days – 11.5 euros, 30 days – 18.2 euros, 60 days 28.8 euros, 12 months – 96 euros.
For vehicles from category Cwith MTMA greater than 3.5 tonnes and less than or equal to 7.5 tonnes, the scrap can be bought for periods of one day, 7 days, 30 days or 12 months, with prices of 4, 16, 32, respectively 320 euros.
Freight transport vehicles from category Dwith MTMA greater than 7.5 tonnes and less than 12 tonnes. The Rovinieta can be purchased for the following periods: one day, 7 days, 30 days or 12 months, with prices of 7, 28, 56 and 560 euros, respectively.
Freight transport vehicles from category Ewith MTMA less than or equal to 12 tonnes and a maximum of three axles. The Rovinieta can be purchased for the following periods: one day, 7 days, 30 days or 12 months, with prices of 9, 36, 72 and 720 euros, respectively.
Freight transport vehicles from category Fwith MTMA greater than or equal to 12 tons (minimum four axles). The Rovinieta can be purchased for the following periods: one day, 7 days, 30 days or 12 months, with prices of 11, 55, 121, and 1210 euros, respectively.
Passenger transport vehicles from category Gwith more than 9 seats (including the driver) and a maximum of 23 seats (including the driver). The Rovinieta can be bought for the following periods: one day, 7 days, 30 days or 12 months, with prices of 4, 16, 32 and 320 euros, respectively.
Passenger transport vehicles from categoria Hwith more than 23 seats (including the driver). The Rovinieta can be purchased for the following periods: one day, 7 days, 30 days or 12 months, with prices of 7, 28, 56 and 560 euros, respectively.
How can we acquire the ruin in 2025?
Drivers who need to pay road tax have several ways to do so. Rovinieta can be purchased online, through the websites CNAIR or Rovinieta.ro.
Alternatively, drivers can purchase the sticker via SMS, at authorized points of sale or at the machines installed in gas stations. If you want to check the validity of the scrap for the vehicle you are driving, you can consult the website of the National Road Infrastructure Administration Company. On the platform you need to enter the registration number and chassis number (VIN) of the vehicle.
