It happened Saturday evening on the provincial road 412 between Lodi and Pavia at the height of Torrevecchia: two female drivers who were on board a passing vehicle were in a state of shock. The collapse affected almost the entire width of the roadway.
A real scandal has opened up chasm on the provincial road 412 Valtidone between Valera Fratta and Torrevecchia Pia, between the provinces of Lodi and Pavia. At this point on the road, late yesterday afternoon, Saturday 27 July around 18:45, the asphalt gave way and the entire carriageway was shattered into cracks and deep potholes.
Operations are currently underway for the securing the section: since the collapse affected almost the entire width of the carriageway, provincial road 412 is now closed to traffic in both directions.
There are no people involved. Only by a lucky chance: the opening of the crater has nevertheless caused a strong state of shock for two young women (32 and 35 years old) on board a passing Fiat Panda, which nevertheless stopped a few metres from the collapse and was not swallowed up by the pothole.

In the meantime, the firefighters of the provincial command of Lodi and the volunteer detachment of Sant’Angelo Lodigiano intervened on site, arriving with a tank pump truck. Also present were the mayor of Torrevecchia Pia and of Valera Fratta Fabio Bassan, the carabinieri, heads of the Consorzio Naviglio Olona and the Consorzio Grande Roggia Bolognina.
