The operator announced several news today. They refer to the portfolio O2 Flat rates changes occurred in O2 TV and significant improvements brought by the service O2 Togetherwhich rewards customers in the group with a financial amount and data every month. We will bring you news in a separate article.
Improved portfolio of O2 Flat rates
The operator has renewed all three programs, added more data to each, and already contains the highest program maximum network speed without extra charge. Until now, customers paid 10.25 euros per month for the opportunity to use full speed without restrictions. The price of individual flat rates has also increased, but it is an important factor here VAT increase from 20% to 23%which was agreed by the government and we have been feeling it since the beginning of this year.
However, it still applies that it is part of the flat rates from 15 January 2025 significantly more data than before, the Basic O2 Flat Rate also received double the free minutes for calls, and the Carefree O2 Flat Rate will get even faster data without restrictions and an extra charge, as we mentioned above.
Subscription to a popular service included in the flat-rate price
Both the Comfortable and the Carefree package include a prepaid service at the price of a monthly fee of your choice. For example, a subscription to Netflix, Voya, O2 TV, Diary of N, Refresher and the like. It goes without saying that it is popular with the highest program chasbackwhen the operator to the customer returns 5 eurosif he does not use more than 15 GB of data per month.

5G network from O2 throughout Slovakia
The good news for customers of the blue operator is the expansion of coverage with a fast 5G network, which is already available to 87.1% of the population of Slovakia. Over the course of a year, O2 managed to increase coverage by 17%. The share of devices with 5G support used by O2 customers was more than a third at the end of November last year.
