Hyundai Factory in Cikarang Starts Production of New Creta N Line

DAPURPACUID – After carrying out the official launch, PT Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia took quick steps to immediately bring the New Creta into the production line.

For the company, the presence of the New Creta N Line complements other Hyundai N models previously produced by HMMI in Cikarang, namely the Ioniq 5 N and Kona Electric N Line.

On the other hand, the start of production of the sporty Hyundai N style Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) marks the company’s high commitment to continue to be at the forefront in strengthening its position in the Indonesian automotive industry.

“By offering vehicles that combine aggressive design, superior performance, as well as advanced features,” said President Director of PT HMMI, Bong Kyu Lee, in his official broadcast, last Monday (13/1).

According to him, this step was taken as a form of Hyundai’s consistency in investing and advancing the country’s automotive industry, by continuing to provide the best innovations for consumers.

For HMMI, the New Creta N Line Turbo and New Creta play an important role. This SUV is the successor to a historic model for HMMI, marking the factory’s first production run in Cikarang.

The production process is carried out by experienced engineers and technicians starting from the process of printing steel plates (press), welding and integrating the vehicle body (welding/body), engine production (engine) and then assembled systematically into a complete vehicle (assembly).

To maintain and ensure quality according to global Hyundai standards, all phases go through a thorough and strict inspection process (quality control).

This product also symbolizes the model that initiated the Company’s export performance, which was marked by the release of distribution to various countries by the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo in 2022.

Now, the Hyundai Creta has been exported to more than 60 countries in the Asia Pacific region, Central and South America, to Africa and the Middle East.

In the future, HMMI also plans to export the newest Creta produced by the factory in the Greenland International Industrial Center industrial area, in accordance with world market needs.

“We hope that the production of the New Creta N Line Turbo and New Creta can answer consumer needs and be well received in Indonesia and other parts of the world,” he said.

The New Creta N Line is equipped with a 1.5L Turbo GDi engine and a 7-speed DCT transmission system. This model is designed to deliver superior performance in a more aggressive appearance with Hyundai N characteristics.

Meanwhile, the New Creta is prepared as an SUV that combines a bold impression with a modern feel through various sophisticated features. This model is equipped with a 1.5L MPI engine with a 6-speed manual or IVT transmission option. (dpid/TH)
