In February, Rakvere Teater Haapsalu will present its oven-warm new production “Time of Cicadas”, where the inheritance of one family will be shared.

Wednesday, February 12 at 7 p.m. at the Haapsalu Culture Center “THE TIME OF CIKAADS”
The members of the Lafayette clan have long been estranged from each other. When the appointed time has passed after the death of the head of the family, two brothers and a sister, together with their families and partners, return to the dilapidated childhood house, amidst debts, moving and memories, to divide the inheritance of their recently deceased father.
In the play by the author of the younger generation, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, the contrast between country and city, wealth and poverty, worldviews and generations, as well as forgiveness, the burden of the past, caring for parents and children, emerge as keywords.
