The new Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim is missing until May

We cancel other professional obligations to watch undisturbed Samsung’s new Upaceked Event on January 22nd, where we expect to see the Galaxy S25 series. The related promotional poster showed four devices (or at least the corners of those phones) and we assumed we’d see four new phones – Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra and a brand new Galaxy S25 Slim.

But we have to reconsider because according to rumors from China, it is being moved the release date of the latest model for the month of May.

The new phone is expected to be just 6.5mm thin, but it will be a large device, sitting somewhere between the Plus and the Ultra in terms of its footprint. It will have a 6.6-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of over 1080p and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

And since this is a very thin phone that means it probably comes with one new silicon-carbon battery, which is lighter but has quite a large capacity – probably around 5,000 mAh.

This is not the first time we hear that Samsung is delaying the Slim and we are still not sure if the new message is about China, it might not be true at all. We’ll have to wait until next Wednesday when we’ll find out more at the event.
