Yaba smuggling through courier service in Pekua, arrest 1

Pekua police arrested a person named Harun along with 1000 pieces of yaba while smuggling yaba through courier service in Pekua of Cox’s Bazar.

In the funeral, on Wednesday (February 15) afternoon at Sundarban Courier Service Center in Pekua Bazar, a resident of East Sonaichari of Toitong Union of the upazila booked a parcel. When the counter man on duty at the courier service center suspected this, he informed the police about the matter tactfully.

Later, Deputy Inspector Ugyajai Marma of Pekua police station and Deputy Inspector Mozammel went to the courier service center and searched the parcel and recovered 1000 pitch yaba and arrested the smuggler Harun.

Arrested Harun Pekuar is said to live in Ward No. 7 of Toitong Sonaichari, but it can be confirmed by looking at his national identity card that he is the son of Syed Ahmed of Tekpara in Cox’s Bazar Municipal area.

Sirajul Mostafa, the officer in charge of Pekua police station, said that a person named Harun was arrested with 1000 pieces of yaba after raiding the courier service based on secret information. During the interrogation, he said that he used to smuggle yaba to specific destinations through courier service. A case has been filed against the arrested Haroon under the Narcotics Control Act.
