Europe is bracing for a massive Arctic storm to hit next week. It will bring a significant drop in temperatures and heavy snowfall. The British Isles should get the biggest hit, but the storm will reach Central Europe as well – In the Czech Republic, temperatures are expected to drop to -10 degrees Celsius, but snowfall should be to a lesser extent.
In the Czech Republic, according to the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ), inverse weather will prevail in the next two weeks. The minimum temperatures will be between -5 and -1 degrees Celsius, but with clear skies and the presence of snow cover, they can drop to the aforementioned -10 degrees.
The rest of January should be rather dry in terms of rainfall totals, more rainfall is expected only in the first week of February.
While the British Isles are bracing for intense snowfall, the Czech Republic will see a little less drama with less snow and cold but stable weather.
