Apple has released a firmware update for the MagSafe charger. The latest version for MagSafe is described as 2A143 (the previous version was 2A138).
Unfortunately, it is not known what changes these updates introduce. Additionally, as with AirPods, there are no official steps to install the latest software version.
When updating the charger, it is best to leave the phone connected to Wi-Fi on it overnight.
