We’ve been waiting for a few days now, the trailer for Daredevil : Born Again has finally been released. Very tempting first images which reassure us about the content of this revival. The series promises to be just as dark and violent as the three seasons offered by Netflix. We’re taking advantage of this first trailer to highlight the best easter eggs we’ve found:
Daredevil retired
Initially, plans for Marvel Studios were to stage a first season of Daredevil : Born Againwithout Daredevil. The idea was to imagine a Hell’s Kitchen without the famous Man without fear. We would then have seen the new life of Matt Murdock without the costume of the Devil in Hell’s Kitchen. Fortunately for entertainment fans, Marvel has forgotten this idea. But the starting point seems to be the same since during a discussion between Matt and Wilson Fiskthe latter asks him why he hung up the mask. Murdock then responds with a “line has been crossed”. We can’t wait to see what he’s referring to. Did Daredevil betray his principles? Did he go too far with violence? Did he kill Bullseye? In any case, it’s a starting point that excites us a lot.
Bullseye
Wilson Bethel is back in the skin of Bullseye. The latter was the big bad of season 3 of Marvel’s Daredevil. Marvel Studios therefore decided to recycle the character. We don’t yet know what role the psychopathic Bulleseye will play, but the trailer clearly confirms its presence.
Karen Page
Karen Page is also back. We can see the character of Deborah Ann Woll for a short sequence. The latter appears to be in a courthouse and throws a accusatory look towards a third person. We think this killer look is intended for Matt Murdock. Perhaps this scene refers to the time he “crossed the line”. It could be that Daredevil : Born Again refers to a famous comic book in which Matt Murdock is sent to prison after murdering one of his adversaries.
Heather Glenn
This teaser also gives a first look at Heather Glenn. The romance between Karen and Matt seems to be over, since our famous vigilante shares his life with another woman: Heather Glenn. In the comics, Heather Glenn is a woman from a wealthy background. She helps Matt, thanks to her father’s money, Maxwell Glennto finance his law firm. A simple love interest for the hero, it highlights Matt’s conflicting double life, between his Daredevil costume and his lawyer’s outfit. In certain arcs, she commits suicide because of the death of her father and Matt’s disinterest in her existence… Nice atmosphere.
Muse
In the comics, Muse is a character introduced in 2015 in the Marvel universe. Commonly associated with Daredevil, Muse’s real name has not yet been revealed. Muse is a psychopathic artist obsessed with creating great masterpieces. However, he uses human victims and their blood to create his paintings. He considers himself a misunderstood visionary and sees Daredevil as an intriguing figure but incapable of understanding the greatness of his art. Without superpower, Muse is a very complex character, whose trajectory we can’t wait to see in Born Again.
Vanessa Fish
The Caïd’s wife She also makes her return for a short shot. The presence of Vanessa Fisk therefore confirms that Marvel’s Daredevil is officially canon in the MCU. Ayelet Zurer appears to be back in the role. It can also be noted that Wilson Fisk still wears his wedding ring.
Le Punisher
This first trailer also offers us a first look at the return of Frank Castle. What a pleasure to see the immense Jon Bernthal in the skin of Punisher. The trailer doesn’t tell us too much about the fate of this cult character, and that’s a good thing. But Frank Castle seems to be more disturbed than ever.
White Tiger
Daredevil : Born Again will also introduce the first version of White Tiger in the MCU. In the comics, many characters have worn the White Tiger costume. Hector Ayala, Angela Del Toro and Ava Ayala notably wore the mask of this character introduced for the first time in 1975. But all these characters have one thing in common: they draw their powers from a mystical amulet originating from the Order of the Tiger. This talisman gives them superhuman strength, speed, agility, and heightened senses. It now remains to be seen which version of White Tiger will be presented in Born Again.
Several masks
Daredevil has increased his wardrobe. Looking at a map, we can discover that Matt Murdock now has several versions of his costume. In particular, we can recognize the yellow mask he wore in the series She-Hulk : Avocate. As for the black maskit refers to the excellent comic Shadowlandin which Daredevil goes to the dark side and joins The Hand.

In a wide shot of Time Squareon which Wilson Fisk seems to make a speech on the giant screens, we can note several easter eggs. We have already learned that Wilson Fisk became Mayor of New York. Then on the left of the screen you can see a poster of Rogers The Musicala musical comedy about the Avengers which references the series Hawkeye. Just to the right of this poster, we can see an advertising spot around the drink Pingodoo. This drink can be seen in Deadpool & Wolverine but especially in the Stan Lee cameo scene in The Incredible Hulk. Finally, on the right, we can see a billboard with the brand PymVanPymwhich obviously refers to the universe of Ant-Man.
